Robert Helm, LHIS

Robert grew up in Bayside, New York, where as a senior in high school, he was diagnosed with hearing loss. For most of his life, Bob faced communication challenges both personally and professionally. During company meetings, in noisy restaurants and, more importantly, when taking important business calls, Bob struggled to hear.

Bob’s career underwent a major change after he was fitted with a set of Siemens Hearing Aids in 2007. He was so impressed that he immediately left his corporate job and began an extensive training program that would provide him with the tools to become a Licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist. He would realize his dream to share his experience and help people hear more clearly.

Prior to joining the hearing healthcare community, Bob was involved in corporate business marketing and management. He graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from St. John’s University, and also holds a Master of Science degree from Queen’s College. He currently holds membership with the International Hearing Society.

Bringing six years of experience as a LHIS and Hearing Center Manager, Bob joined HearUSA, Morristown in 2013. His significant industry acumen, as well as his singular interest in helping patients achieve maximum comfort and satisfaction so they may “hear all that they’ve been missing” are a welcome addition to the New Jersey team.

Bob lives in Mahwah with his wife, Carol. They have three adult children, a grandson, and a granddaughter ‘on the way’. In his spare time, Bob enjoys boat cruising and week-end road trips, as well as, music, woodworking and tinkering with cars.

“Based on my experiences, extensive training and my passion for helping others, I feel I am uniquely qualified to help anyone who is saying ‘what?’ way too often. I know what they are going through and how they are missing out on things that are going on around them. Hearing clearly is the key to greater quality of life.”

~ Robert Helm
